Fishing

Fishing is a great outdoor activity which you can enjoy with parents and even grandparents. The act of catching fish with a hook and line with a rod is known as angling.

Different types and styles of fishing

You can fish for sport, or simply catch and throw them back to the waters or catch and enjoy eating it too!

Sportfishing was introduced in the mid 15th century and it shows an angler’s true love for fishing. Sportfishing can be of two types: freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Whichever way you choose, you will love fishing once you start practicing it regularly. It helps to bond you with nature away from the bustling city life.

The three most common styles of fishing are bait fishing, spin fishing and fly-fishing. Bait fishing involves use of live or dead bait on a hook with a reel, a heavy line and a short rod. You must do your homework well before venturing out for fishing. Depending upon the type of fish you are catching your hook size will change. If you are fishing at a specific location and not sure the type of fish in that water, then you might have some problems catching fish. You should use your bait according to the type of fish you wish to catch. There are also different lures available. You can draw the attention of thefish with the lure without scaring them off.  

Spin fishing is associated with lures and uses a somewhat longer rod than bait fishing. The rod used in fly fishing is a much longer one about 10ft but lighter than rods used for bait andspin fishing.

Conclusion

Fishing is a fun way of relaxing. But you must take the help of an expert to learn the art of fishing. Even though it is not a dangerous activity, however, it is best to carry a medical kit along with you. Most countries have their individual rules and regulations about fishing. So make sure you take the required permits before fishing.
